Become a Community Teacher.
We help you share your passion with middle and high school youth, exposing them to your career, and inspiring the next generation.
Do you have 75 minutes a week?
Hear why United Bank chooses to volunteer as Community Teachers:
As a Community Teacher, we work with you to craft a 10-week career enrichment experience for a small group of middle or high school youth.
Career Enrichment Classes are the centerpiece of our out-of-school learning program. Our Community Teachers have taught nearly 100 career classes over the past four years, including coding, real estate, barbering, music, environmental science, construction, hospitality, teaching, pottery, law, theatre, just to name a few!
You can teach whatever you know and love!
Our goal is to create an unique, impactful volunteer experience for you that allows you to make a difference in the lives of local youth and sharpen your own professional skills.
You are the expert in your career. We simply help you bring your knowledge and ideas to life in ways that will work for middle and high school youth. From an initial consultation to ongoing classroom support to help with logistics, we are with you every step of the way.
I know On the Road is for the kids but I think I got more out of the experience leading an enrichment learning project than they did. Each week I enjoyed the opportunity to share my passion of flight with my group of students and every week they responded with enthusiasm, curiosity, and enjoyment about the topic. It was a wonderful experience that I won't forget! "
