Three short years after starting On the Road Collaborative, our dreams are bigger and bolder than ever! We are excited to announce that we will be expanding to Harrisonburg High School this fall with a new 9th Grade Academy.

9th Grade Academy will continue our focus on career enrichment and help our young people grow into the students and leaders they are meant to be. We are more sure than ever that this is the right step for our organization, as our long-term vision is to help prepare young people in Harrisonburg for post-secondary success.

Stay tuned for more details about 9th Grade Academy and our high school efforts in the months ahead.

High School Coordinator Named

Meredith Breeden and her students pose for a photo

We are excited to announce the hiring of Meredith Breeden as the new On the Road Collaborative High School Coordinator. After serving as an Afterschool Team Leader with us in the spring 2016 and graduating from Eastern Mennonite University that May, Meredith joined our team as an AmeriCorps member during the 2016-2017 school year. In a short time, Meredith has made a big impact, having successfully led our inaugural year of 8th Grade Academy at Skyline Middle and expand our volunteer outreach efforts to our local colleges and universities. We can’t wait to see how Meredith continues to lead and empower youth in our community in the years ahead.

If you are interested in learning more or getting involved with our high school efforts, reach out to Meredith at: meredith@ontheroadcollaborative.com to connect!
