Empowering Our Next Generation of Leaders.

Providing equal access to educational opportunities and hands-on career experiences.

Building a world where all youth are on the road to realizing their promise.

We believe our youth are our future, but a lack of opportunities can negatively impact children from an early age.

By the age of 12, children from low-income families have experienced a 6,000-hour learning gap compared to their peers, due mostly to out-of-school factors, such as access to pre-school, after-school, and summer learning programs. This gap puts youth at a disadvantage throughout school and as they prepare for their future.

On the Road is dedicated to closing this learning gap.

By providing educational opportunities and hands-on learning experiences to middle and high-school youth outside of regular school hours, our programs help to close the learning gap over time, while building our youth’s confidence and skills along the way.

OUR MISSION IS TO EMPOWER YOUTH BY PROVIDING EQUAL ACCESS TO EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES AND HANDS-ON CAREER EXPERIENCES.

Here’s How We Do It

Connect

We connect our youth to trusting adult relationships and equitable opportunities by creating an inclusive, welcoming culture in our programs.

Enrich

Empower

We empower our youth by helping each of them realize that they have something extraordinary to give to the world and that they are capable of realizing that promise.

“Providing the opportunity for our kids to participate in continuous activities is necessary and beneficial for our youth. Programs such as On the Road Collaborative are not only a valuable tool for our kids, but the approach is very focused in order to guide our youth towards career paths. It also impacts our city by developing our youth to be leaders in the community.”
