Meet Our Intern

Ms. Kyra Winn
Program and Non-Profit Intern
Why On the Road?: Through working as a Valley Scholars mentor in Rockingham County Public Schools, I noticed how great of a gap there is in educational resources. I personally was not used to this due to being from a suburban area in Chesterfield, VA. As college mentors, our job was to represent the opportunity that comes from higher education. I heard about On the Road Collaborative and what they do specifically for the Harrisonburg community, and I chose to work with them because it combines my love for mentoring and serving youth communities.
